Children's Hospital Is Teaching Parents How To Customize Ipads
The story on King5.com tells about a local family and their non verbal son, and how that son can now communicate with his parents using the ipad. There are simple picture sentences on the computer that the son can point to, click on, and scroll to tell his parents what he wants to do, what foods he wants to eat and so on. The story goes on to say how Seattle Children's Hospital taught the parents how to customize their ipad in order to better communicate with their son. Although simple flash cards would also work, there are a lot more educational tools available for the ipad for children and autistic children.
