Miami Dolphins Hall of Famer Dan Marino Starting a College for Developmentally Delayed
Yes, kids on the Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) do have a disability, and yes some have a hard time making it on their own as adults. But not every child with an ASD is like that. Many are capable, willing, and wanting to go on to education after high school. Many also want to become productive adults with jobs that contribute to society. Many also want to get married, have kids, and get fully integrated socially with their neighborhoods. This is all possible, and Dan Marino is doing his part to give adults on the spectrum a hand up, not a hand out. Thank you Dan Marino!
